news & events event

Andrew&Angela LargeThis Sunday it is a joy and privilege to have our dear friends Andrew and Angela Large, senior pastors of Hoxton Vineyard with us (17 Feb).

Read some of their own spiritual journey and how the Lord has been using them in one of the poorest parts of London to bring hope and healing in people’s lives.

If you are new to church or ‘just looking’, you are very welcome. We are a family-orientated church and love kids. Children and young people have fully organised activities through our Planet Vineyard programme.

Arrive early for fresh coffee and snacks.

Look forward to meeting you.

Did you know that give it up revised adLent starts on Wednesday 13 February?

It is a time when the Church traditionally marks the period that Jesus went into the Wilderness to pray and abstained from food and drink for 40 days.

Many Christians will be thinking about giving up something for Lent to as part of their own personal journey to the cross at Easter. We may already be thinking about giving up chocolate, coffee, wine or another little luxury or comfort thing

So here’s a thought. Why not mark this time by giving up a cup of coffee in a cafe and putting the money aside for Storehouse? Or maybe forgoing the odd bottle of wine and turning it into some cans of soups?

You can then have the joy of see these savings turn into Storehouse Emergency foodbags for someone in crisis who has no option but to go without.

It’s easy to get involved.

Simply bring any items along to church or your HOME group or to any of our Storehouse Collection Points in town. Alternatively, you can give a financial  gift. (Please make any cheques payable to Stour Valley Vineyard and write on the back Storehouse.)

If you are from another church or organisation, please contact the SVV Storehouse Team for more details. We’d love to hear from you.

Have fun!

EAC-adHuge apologies!

We have published a wrong date on the new SVV Grapevine for the up and coming East Anglia Area Celebration with Dave Workman.

This date, of course, should read Sunday 10 March, (not 19 as advertised).

Sorry for any confusion!

Meanwhile, we look forward seeing you at our next Sunday service on two weekends’ time on Sunday 10 February, 10.30am at the Delphi Centre.

Look forward to seeing you there.

tableware_kfsAre you new to church or looking for a place to belong?

Then you are invited to a lunch on Sunday 27 January at 12.30 pm, straight after the morning service. Come and meet Andrew and Emma, hear how the church was founded, what our vision is and see how you can be part of it. It is also a great opportunity to ask your questions.

The Newcomers’ Lunch is the first stop on something we call Vineyard Road Trip, which invites people to join us for three evenings to explore our values. There is no obligation to attend, but, of course, we would be delighted to have you with us on the journey and get to know you more.

For the purposes of catering, please contact the office if you are intending of coming to the lunch. We can also give directions to the venue.
