Compassion ministry is a big part of the the Vineyard does. It is firmly in our DNA. On this Sunday at the Delphi Centre we are providing a focus to come afresh with a heart for the poor and see how we can all reach out to the most “harrassed and helpless” in church and our community.
We are delighted to welcome Darryl Faulkner who helps lead Storehouse at Southend Vineyard.* He brings with him an extraordinary story of God’s provision in a very challenging situation. One you will not want to miss!
If you are new or are not yet in the habit of bringing donations for Storehouse, this is also a wonderful occasion to bring a couple of items along with you. You will find a marked table near the Welcome Desk where you are free to leave them there.
If you are unsure what to bring, why not take a couple of minutes to click onto the Storehouse page for ideas?
* Darryl has kindly taken over as speaker from Andrew and Angela Large (Hoxton Vineyard) who have sadly had to pull out from being with us due to a family situation. They send their abject apologies. However, we will endeavour to find a space to have them with us at a later date.
Are you a helper, parent or someone interesting in children’s ministry?
Then this important evening at Eden’s Project, Gainsborough Street, Sudbury is for you. Come along and hear about our vision for Planet Vineyard and how it will affect our kids and young people for 2012-13 onwards.
We are introducing a new comprehensive package called Energize from Urban Saints, which we think our young people and team are going to love. We want to see them envisioned, equipped, and encouraged to live a young ‘life less ordinary’ in Jesus.
This is a great opportunity to see a demo and ask your questions. Kerri and the PV team look forward to seeing you there.
Are you new or looking for a church?
Our founding pastors, Andrew and Emma Stewart-Darling, would love to meet you at our Newcomers’ Evening on Wednesday 10 October, starting at 8pm.
Come and hear how Stour Valley Vineyard started, what brought Andrew and Emma particularly to Sudbury, what our vision is, why we live what we believe, and what happens to a group of people who get a vision to do church differently.
This is an informal, relaxed evening which includes space for you to ask your questions – and all done over a with glass of half-decent wine and some tasty puddings.
If you would like to come, contact the church office today. We’d love to meet you.

Start getting ready for the National Leaders’ Conference. It happens on 28-31 January 2013.
The Journey So Far…
The Lord has brought us a long way since the first such gathering of 22 leaders happily packed into a room, in 1989. In 2012 there were well over 1000 of us worshipping, ministering, hearing the superb teaching and generally enjoying reconnecting with one another. As each year grows, so does the anticipation and expectation.
Theme
The theme for this year’s conference is “Visionary Leadership”. As the Vineyard movement continues to grow both nationally and internationally, the concept of leaders who seek, impart, release and see vision fulfilled is so very important to us. We look forward to all that the Lord will do through this national conference.
As ever, there will be our customary mix of worship, ministry, teaching and training. There will also be plenty of time to connect with each other, one of the most valued and valuable aspects of the National Leaders’ Conference.
Venue
As in previous years the conference will be held at the Trent Vineyard in Nottingham.
We are thrilled to welcome our speakers this year:
:: Rich Nathan (Vineyard Columbus, USA),
:: Mike Pilavachi (Soul Survivor, UK),
:: Alan Scott (Causeway Coast Vineyard)
:: Jason Clark (Vineyard Church Sutton)
:: Debby Wright,
:: Eric Pickerill,
:: Andy Smith,
:: Jen Rankine,
:: Helen Murphy
:: Katie Rogers
…to name but a few.
As we begin our sixth year as a church plant we’ll be looking at the book of Nehemiah.
We’ll see how an impossible plan became a reality. And how a community of God’s people was rebuilt in the process.
Hope you can join us in Sunday mornings.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the… http://t.co/thJgWX8R
