April-Fools-Giveaway

We are doing our next community outward focused event on April Fool’s Day. Such fun!

We are planning to give away hundreds of doughnuts to public sector workers in Sudbury and surrounding areas. We want to show our love and appreciation for all the unsung work that they do in our communities.

We are meeting at our church offices at The Christopher Centre 9.30am on Tuesday 1st April to pack and distribute bags before gong out to a number of addresses.

If you have a car and can spare an hour, we’d love to see you.

Meanwhile, please pray that these small doughy things with jam in the middle might start to change a few lives. Don’t underestimate the power of the doughnut!

Let’s go serve somebody in Jesus’ name and bless them.

See you there!

Give it up (News and Events)On Wednesday 5 March our ‘Give it up’ event starts and will run for the 40 days of Lent.

Storehouse is asking that the money you may save by giving something up for Lent, you turn into emergency food bags for local families in crisis.

Recently due the increasing number of individuals and families in crisis from Sudbury and the surrounding villages, Storehouse has increased its weekly drop-ins to 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday). The emergency food bags that are donated during Lent will allow Storehouse to support this increasing need.

You can pick up a bag to fill with non-perishable food at our Sunday morning services during lent, or alternatively just fill up an old plastic shopping bag and either bring it with you on Sunday or drop it at 1 of Storehouse’s 23 collection points (click here for collection points).
