news & events event

Come and join us as we serve the community 11.30 am, Shrove Tuesday outside the Town Hall, Market Hill, Sudbury. We will be there with our now familiar SVV gazebo, gas cookers, frying pans flipping pancakes, and showing our shoppers that God loves them. Come and help cook and serve. And if the opportunity raises itself, pray for people who have needs.

If you have never done an outward focus event before, you are in for a treat. It is great fun and very rewarding.

Let’s go serve somebody!

Just a quick reminder that we have our full English breakfast experience for guys tomorrow morning at 9.30 am, Painters, Gainsborough Street. A good number of you have said you are coming, but do need to know numbers for reasons of catering. If you are new or just looking, you are very welcome to join us. It is a great way of getting to know people. Let the office know if you are planning to be there.

Match Report

Monday night’s Fellowship Football game was a very closely contested affair between SVV and New Church but we ran out victorious by 3 goals to 2. With 10 goals this season Ryan is just 1 goal away from being the league’s top scorer. There has also been an exceedingly rare occurrence:- for the first time in history both SVV and West Ham sit at the top of their respective leagues. Even, better than this, however, is that 2 of the teams SVV have played recently have said that we are also the team which plays in the best spirit and this is the achievement I am most pleased with.

There are 4 more games before the league splits into Divisions 1 and 2 and we are finely poised to secure a top 4 position.

Hi guys,  please note, Wednesday’s prayer time at 12.30 pm, The Well, has moved to the Jones due to sickness in the SD’s household.  These are corporate prayer times where we come to intercede, but also to listen. Please pray for Emma’s health today and the spiritual health of the church. Thank you.

If you love to worship, have a heart to lead worship, maybe play an instrument, this is a course for you.

It starts from Friday 27 January a new course starts at Assington Hall from 7.30 pm.

Whether you are part of a worship team, lead in a small group or would like to, Dave Gellet provides a practical course embedding our Vineyard values along with musicianship.

You don’t have to be an excellent singer or musician, just a heart to go deep in serving and loving Jesus.

Get in touch with us through the church office if you would like to come.
