What are you doing for Lent?

Each week we are seeing shattered and broken lives given hope. Of course, we offer more than a food bag. We provide a ‘bridge’ for further help, along with prayer for those want it. But the journey always begins with a tin. And every tin really does matter.

However, it will come as no surprise to you that the demand for Storehouse bags steadily grows. So much so that we have now expanded our ‘Drop In’ service to include Tuesday afternoons, as well as Fridays.

It also means that we need to ‘stock up’ our Storehouse, which is why we are running our Give it Up campaign for the second year running. What’s more, we would love you to be part of it.

As we enter Lent, some of us will be considering what little luxury to abstain from for 40 days. Others will be considering fasting. We thought it naturally presents a wonderful opportunity to turn the saved money into food donations.

We are suggesting that families and individuals fill an old shopping bag and bring it back to you. Of course, there is no limited to bags that can be filled!

If you’re not part of Vineyard and either a Collection Point or friend, you can download an A4 display poster, along with a PPT notice slide below, to help promote the idea to your church.

If we can help further, drop us a line.
