On Saturday 21st December the Church will be gathering on Market Hill to hand out mince pies to people out and about in Sudbury. We will be there between 11 and 12. Why not come along and help us to spread some cheer by serving the community?

We have our Shine at Christmas event for young families at the Delphi Centre tomorrow afternoon.
We’ve got music, games and craft activities all going on. There is also a tuck shop.
Quite frankly, it’s hard to know what’s not to like!
Are you coming with your kids Why not bring another family with you? This is a free event. Hope to see you there!

Thank you for giving
The team at Storehouse would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has either generously contributed food or given their time to help pack hampers. So far we have packed hampers for 450 people providing each person with enough food for 3 days. We expect this number to grow as we receive more requests for help. For those that receive these hampers it is a great blessing and one less worry at a time of year that should be filled with joy and happiness.
Look out for the follow up article in this week’s edition of the Suffolk Free Press (Thursday 12/12/13 edition) which will tell readers about the Waitrose events, hamper packing and how it has all helped.

With Christmas fast approaching and your thoughts edging towards 2014 here is a reminder that the Vineyard National Leaders Conference in Nottingham, 27th – 30th January 2014 is also not so far away.
The conference begins on the evening of Monday 27th January and finishes after the evening session on Thursday 30th January. It is £90 for the full conference, with the cost of day visits yet to be confirmed (last years price for a day ticket was £30).
If you want to book you can either do it online at http://2014.vineyardnlc.org/bookby. Alternatively you can download a booking form on the webpage and post it to the NLC team. Bookings close on Monday 20th January.

Being the season of Advent Sunday, the time when the church prepares for the coming of Jesus, we have a talk series called ‘One Star. One Hope.’

Thank you to all those who are helping to serve families and individuals in crisis in our town and surrounding villages with our Storehouse Christmas Hampers appeal.
We have had an amazing start to our two foodbanks weekends at Waitrose and been very touched by the generosity of shoppers, especially as these are not easy times for many of us. Some wonderful stories are starting to emerge! We are there for the whole of next weekend too (Sat Nov 30 & Sun 1 Dec).
Meanwhile, we need some more volunteers to help pack the actual emergency hampers, which is happening on the Monday and Tuesday mornings Tuesdays straight after the foodbank weekends.

Monday 2 December, 10am-2pm
Tuesday 3 December, 10am-2pm
Packing takes place in a warehouse kindly donated by Ridgeons. See their website for a map and directions. We will also need help with delivery.
