Sunday-evening-sliderAs we have now taken the exciting step of going to all Sundays now, this is a just a small reminder to say that we have our evening service this weekend: ‘First Sunday’.

It starts at 6.30pm and is at our usual venue: The Delphi Centre, Newton Road, Sudbury, CO10 2RR.

It is designed to be a time where we can go deeper into God through worship, reflect on His Word and be ministered to by His Holy Spirit. Do bring family and friends. All are extremely welcome. (Please note that there is no young people’s programme.)

We will be continuing our speaking series: ‘Cultivating the Heart of a Worshipper’.

We look forward to seeing you all.

We invite you to join us this weekend as Stour Valley Vineyard Church turns six years old.

Rather excitedly, we come together to celebrate what God has done in this new church in South Suffolk, for his faithfulness to us and for the vision he has given this one expression of his Church.

We start at 10.30am, but do come earlier for fresh coffee and snacks. We meet at The Delphi Centre, Newton Road, Sudbury.

Please bring a pack lunch and some drink and, if the weather is good, we will picnic on the grass outside.

We also have a circus tricks entertainer for the kids, as well as Candy Floss machines.

Bring your friends and family and make it a day to remember.

For more info, please contact the church office.

As we start a new term, we are thrilled to begin a new evening service on the first Sunday of the month, which we are calling ‘First Sunday’.

It is a time when we can go deeper with God through worship and have the opportunity to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. A place where we can be refreshed, restored and reset.

In short, a simple service with the aim of just simply meeting with the Lord.

We hope you can join us at the Delphi, whether you are new, ‘just looking’ or a regular. See you there!

For more info about the service, where we are going as a church or how you can be part of SVV, drop us a line or give us a ring on 01787 677 370.

As a growing family church plant we like to look after our leaders and teams by giving them a well-earned rest. Therefore, we are taking a break from Sunday services and formal meetings in the month of August.

We are really sorry if you were hoping to visit or check us out, but please look around on our site and see if we are your kind of church.

Be sure to drop us a line if we can help.

The church office is closed for part of the month, but we will get back you! Your inquiry matters to us. Storehouse Foodbank will be open as usual.

Meanwhile, do join us for a couple of fun socials. On Sunday 3 August we are off to Frinton Beach, Essex. We will be meeting on the beach opposite the junction off Connaught Avenue. Look for our SVV Flag to find us easily. And remember to bring a picnic and your swimming togs.

We also have our annual park social two weeks later. Picnic in the Park happens on Sunday 18 August at Belle Vue Park, Sudbury. There is a cafe and a great play area for the kids. Again bring a picnic and take the opportunity to hang out with us. Love to see you.

For both events, just rock up. See you there!

Leaning summer deck chair

ASD writes: In the sultry Summer heat of 1979 I turned on my Saisho radio-cassette player and heard the unmistakable warbling tones of Fergal Sharkey singing Here comes Summer. It cut through the airwaves like a hot wire through butter.

Chris-Lizzotte-pic

Wednesday 7.30 pm, 11 September at Assington Hall, near Sudbury.

We are thrilled and privileged to have Chris Lizotte coming to us all the way from California.

If you are part of the worship team at SVV or have a heart for worship, you won’t to miss the golden opportunity to hear one of the Vineyard movement’s founding worship leaders.

As part of the exciting launch of our new worship school at Stour Valley Vineyard Church, we have invited Chris to share his heart and mind on worship and lead a song-writing workshop for the evening.

Although this is not an official East Anglia Area event we are offering key worship leaders from our churches the opportunity to hang out with us for this special evening with Chris. And in the spirit of ‘sharing the love’, we are happy to see worship leaders from other Areas from the London and South East Region.

Booking details

In keeping this event intimate and informal, space is very limited at 30 people. You will need to let us know soon by email if you would like to come. Places will be given on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

This event is free, but a donation on the evening to bless Chris would be thoughtful.
