Summer

This weekend at Stour Valley Vineyard Church we have two events taking place. On Saturday 9 Aug we be meeting at Ruth and Ian’s home at 3pm for a ‘Summer Walk’ in Mount Bures, this will be followed by tea and cake. Then on Sunday 10 August we will be meeting at Carl and Emma’s home from 10:30am till 12pm for  ‘Sunday Fellowship’, there will coffee and pastries, worship and prayer. So if you are looking for something to do or just fancy hanging out and getting to know people join us this weekend.

If you are new to the church or just looking our regular Sunday services at the Delphi Centre will not be taking place from the 3rd to 30th August. This is to give our leaders a well earned rest over summer. Our services will be starting again Sunday 31 August, 10:30am at the Delphi Centre, Newton Road.

If you need any further information or directions to events taking place during the summer, please drop us an email at the office.

All welcome!

post header (reach for beach)It is that time of year again, when we take a break from our regular formal services and organised events.

During the month of August it has become a tradition that we ‘reach for the beach’. This year we are heading off to Walton on the Naze on Sunday 3 August for 12pm.

Bring a picnic, bucket and spades, maybe some games and join in the fun.

We will be gathering at the front of Walton Pier before we head off to the beach.

There is plenty of parking around Walton at varying distances from the pier. There is one marked on the map below. For a more extensive list of parking click on the links below:

Unfortunately it has been decided that due to the high risk of bad weather it will be best to cancel 20s & 30s Summer Games that was scheduled for this Saturday! Not sure whether rounders and a picnic with thunder and lightning is what people signed up for! Sorry it’s such short notice

The possibility of rescheduling for early August is being considered, so if that becomes a definite plan then we’ll let you know.

Sorry to disappoint you all. Regardless of whether this goes ahead in August or not, we’re looking forward to the Christmas Special, and will let you know what’s happening nearer the time.

Summer Teaching Series Slider

Join us this weekend as we conclude our summer preaching series on the inspirational life of Moses. See how God used a man to shape a nation into being.

We ask: What lessons are there for the church today? What lessons are there for the 21st century leaders? What really qualifies us to lead?

We meet 10.30am at the Delphi Centre. Arrive early for fresh coffee and pastries. Easy parking.

Visitors and those new to church are very welcome. See you there!
