Vineyard-DTI 2013 (3)DTI is a growing national Vineyard event aimed at young people aged between 11-18. It’s an unmissable opportunity to meet Jesus in worship, teaching and ministry as well as catch up with other youth from around the Vineyard.

This year the action packed DTI programme will hit a new level including the legendary wipeout, football, gunging leaders and extreme challenges – plus some other ground breaking stuff we haven’t even planned yet! Showcasing the phenomenal talent from a youth group like yours, the evening entertainment is always seriously ramped up!

Plus you can always chill out in the cafe, which stocks all the traditional tuck you would expect and also DTI delicacies like hot chocolate mountains, pancakes and new for 2013 – the commercial grade candy floss machine!

Finally, just between you and us (and anyone else who reads this) John and Eleanor Mumford, who lead Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland will be at DTI 2013 and speaking on the Saturday – BOOM!

Pick up a form from the Welcome Desk on Sunday morning, contact the church office or book online.

christmas-eve-2012-adHope you and your family can join us on Christmas Eve at 7pm for a very special festive service. If you have not been to church for a while or never been to church, we hope you will feel comfortable to just come as you are.

Arrive early for mulled wine, mince pies and other seasonal snacks. The service lasts for an hour and will include some of your favourite carols, as well as a special message for Christmas.

Our pastors, Andrew and Emma Stewart-Darling look forward to welcoming you.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS SERVICE REPLACES OUR USUAL SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE. OUR NEXT SUNDAY SERVICE IS 30 DECEMBER, 10.30AM.

Just heard that our Christmas curry evening tonight at Melford Valley Tandoori is now fully booked. We have literally maxed out the place!

That means if you have not booked by now we will have to put you to the top of the list for our next taste of India.  Sorry for any disappointment.

Meanwhile, see the lucky ones at 7pm!

For those looking for some guided Bible readings to help prepare for Christmas (and beyond)  you may want to dip into these two excellent books below. I can really can’t recommend them enough. This will be the third year that I have used Maggie Dawn’s wonderfully insightful set of reflections and, of course, you really can’t go wrong with Henri Nouwen for clear thoughtful observations that warm the soul.

Advent and Christmas, Wisdom, Henri J.M. Nouwen, Missouri: Liguori, 2004

Beginnings and Endings (and what happens in between), Maggie Dawn, Oxford:BRF, 2007
– Daily Bible readings from Advent to Epiphany

Both available through Amazon.

Warmly,

Andrew Stewart-Darling
Area Leader, East Anglia group of churches
