Can you donate a chocolate egg to help a local family who are struggling to provide for their children this Easter?

Your food donations continue to be a life-saver for many people in our community. Each tin or item really does make a difference. Thank you!

But you can go one step further by helping provide the gift of an Easter Egg for a child.

We have been put in touch with  families through one of our local referral partners. Together, we can tell them that “hope wins”. It is a small thing we can do, but something we can do with a big heart.

If you are able to help, we are collecting kids’ eggs throughout March, so you can either drop off your eggs at any participating church, at our Storehouse office in the Christopher Centre, or bring your donation to our morning service, 10.30am at the Delphi Centre. Simply leave them at the Storehouse Collection Point and our Storehouse team will do the rest.

Thank you.

mothers day illistration 2016.jpgSunday 26 March is our Mother’s Day family service, 10:30am at The Delphi Centre (Map) where we all come together in worship. It’s also our opportunity to celebrate the gift of mums.

Our special service will be led by the Planet Vineyard team with help, of course, from Rockets and Supernovas.

There will be something for everyone (not just for mums), whatever your age. All are welcome. It is a great occasion to invite all your family and friends along.

As always, arrive early for fresh coffee and pastries.

Look forward to seeing you there!

leaders

Imagine how the impact of your leadership influence would grow in depth and breadth if you lived and led from a healthy vibrant soul. After all, you are the most important person you will ever lead. Most of us will eventually work out that mere striving and more activity will not get us closer to the goal of a healthier relationship with Jesus.

Our next Leadership Session will explore what we need within to see leadership as a privilege and not a necessity of life.

We will also be introducing you to an exciting new way of keeping you updated with your involvement at Vineyard – whether it is attending a small group or serving on a team.

When is it?
7:30pm, Monday 20 February 2017. (Drinks served on arrival.) We aim to finish around 9:30pm

Where is it?
The Christopher Centre, 10 Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, CO10 2EU.
(See our church website for directions. Feel free to use the office car park.)

Who is it for?

  • small group leaders
  • team co-ordinators and week leaders
  • Sunday support teams and midweek support teams
  • anyone else who wants to learn to lead others by example and has a passion to see the church breathe life into our community

Why do we do Leadership Sessions?
Paul the apostle speaks about “equipping his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” That’s a good enough reason in itself. But we also believe that when a leader gets better, everyone wins! It’s why these evenings are a good investment of your time.

Why make Leadership Sessions a priority?
One of our core values in the Vineyard is that leaders are for leaders. That’s because any kind of leading is costly in the giving of our time and emotional energy. Leading with a servant heart can also leave us feeling spiritually depleted, so we like to replenish our buckets by coming together and taking encouragement whenever we can.

It’s going to be a great evening. See you there!

Town Pastors are Christian volunteers from local churches who are out in Sudbury town centre on Friday and/or Saturday nights, being a positive influence on the streets and providing help and support to vulnerable people. In addition to the street patrols we are supported while out on the streets by a Prayer Team, some who pray at bases in town while others pray from home.

If you have considered supporting the town pastors in any way or if you would like to find out more about what the Sudbury Town Pastors do, come along to An Introduction to Town Pastors, at the Christopher Centre, in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, on Monday January 23rd, from 7.30pm to about 9pm.

For more detail speak to Frank Marsden or call the church office on: 01787 377670 or email.

Look forward to meeting you!

Join us on Saturday 18 December from 10:45am to bless the people of Sudbury.

As part of being an outward-focused church, we will be out in Market Hill, Sudbury with our SVV gazebo giving away hundreds of free mince pies to Christmas shoppers. It’s a fun way to serve others and show a small act of God’s kindness in a busy, stressful period.

It only needs and hour and half of your time. For those able to help set up and give away, we’ll gather at 11.ooam in the market place. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to offer small acts of kindness in Jesus’ name?

A time for men to connect!

As part of this ministry aimed at men, we hold a monthly Men’s Breakfast, on the 1st Saturday of each month.  We know that weekends are a valuable time for men, so we meet from 9am finishing around 10:30am.  This means there is still time to wash the car, cut the lawn, go on that obligatory shopping trip, plus those other Saturday duties that befall us blokes.

Join us for our next breakfast on Saturday 5 November from 9:00am at Cafe Jaqui, 52 North Street, Sudbury. Feel free to invite a friend.

Please note there will be no men’s breakfast in August.

If you have never been before or new to the church, we would love to see you.

Dads feel free to bring your children.

See you there!
