Town Pastors are Christian volunteers from local churches who are out in Sudbury town centre on Friday and/or Saturday nights, being a positive influence on the streets and providing help and support to vulnerable people. In addition to the street patrols we are supported while out on the streets by a Prayer Team, some who pray at bases in town while others pray from home.

If you have considered supporting the town pastors in any way or if you would like to find out more about what the Sudbury Town Pastors do, come along to An Introduction to Town Pastors, at the Christopher Centre, in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, on Monday January 23rd, from 7.30pm to about 9pm.

For more detail speak to Frank Marsden or call the church office on: 01787 377670 or email.

Look forward to meeting you!

Join with us for a day of prayer and fasting on Thursday 19th January, 9am-9pm at Christ Church URC, School Street, Sudbury. The purpose of the day is to take time to listen to God and draw aside to seek His face and His guidance in our own lives for the year ahead.

Why do we fast?

Last Sunday Andrew spoke about ‘the kind of fasting that pleases God’. You can listen again on our church website or download his notes here.

Fasting is voluntarily going without food, or any other regularly enjoyed, good gift from God for the sake of a spiritual purpose. Please take a couple of minutes to download and read our guidelines to get the most out of your day.

When God’s people fast with a proper biblical motive – seeking his face, not his hand – with a humble and contrite spirit, he will hear from Heaven and heal our lives, churches and communities.

What will the day look like?

The day is made up of led sessions and times of quiet reflection and prayer. The programme has been designed so that you can come during the day at times that suit you. The only thing we ask is that you come and go quietly so as not to disturb others.

We look foward to spending time with you in His presence.
