A time for men to connect!

As part of this ministry aimed at men, we hold a monthly Men’s Breakfast, on the 1st Saturday of each month.  We know that weekends are a valuable time for men, so we meet from 9am finishing around 10:30am.  This means there is still time to wash the car, cut the lawn, go on that obligatory shopping trip, plus those other Saturday duties that befall us blokes.

Join us for our next breakfast on Saturday 5 November from 9:00am at Cafe Jaqui, 52 North Street, Sudbury. Feel free to invite a friend.

Please note there will be no men’s breakfast in August.

If you have never been before or new to the church, we would love to see you.

Dads feel free to bring your children.

See you there!

live-like-a-refugee

Hey Supernovas, come and spend the weekend experiencing what it would be like to live like a refugee. See what it would be like to survive on a refugee’s rations, live out of a suitcase and sleep on the floor!

This will be a great weekend to get a taster of what refugee children go through every day and focus on how this is different to your own lives.

Cost £5 (covers food and accomodation), concessions avaliable.

As a children’s leader, or even simply as a parent, you share a heart with others to see our children grow up in faith and turn towards Him. You plan, prepare and work hard with to reach this generation. No-one said it would be easy! But, you care, passionately!

However, you don’t have to share the burden alone.

We’d like to invite your children’s and youth ministry leader or yourself, if you cover that role, to a light lunch at Assington Hall, near Sudbury to meet Matt Summerfield, President of Urban Saints, one of the most established and experienced youth organisations in the UK.

We hope it might provide you with some answers in ‘breaking barriers’ to see more growth. It is also a great occasion to meet with other local Children’s leaders and to receive some personal prayer.

We’re starting with lunch at 1pm to allow you time to arrive from your morning services.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare on this day.

There is a limited amount of tickets available, so to avoid any disappointment, please register promptly at Event Brite using the link below. Bring as many as you like from your church. Although there is no cost for lunch, but a small donation on the day would be gratefully received by Stour Valley Vineyard.

It promises to be a great gathering. We hoope you can join us on the 30th October at Assington.

Love to sing?

Do you find yourself singing with a hairbrush, in the shower or in the car on your way to work? Then, this choir is most definitely for you.

Come and learn to sing with others. Make new friends. Learn to sing in harmony. You could amaze yourself!

You don’t have to have a voice like Adele or Pavarotti. This is open to everyone. There’s no audition to get in. All you need is enthusiasm and a sense of fun.

And there’s no catch to being a member -and it’s certainly not a ‘church choir’. There’s just a small suggested donation each time to help us cover our costs.

The choir meets next on Monday 10 and 24 October, 7.30pm at Wells Hall Old School, Wells Hall Road, Great Cornard, Sudbury. CO10 0NH (Map). (Tea and coffee will be served from 7.15pm.)

Find out more. Contact the church office and we’ll put you in touch with Nicky Biggin-Jones, our choir leader, Call 01787 377 670 or drop us an email.
