christmas 2017

We hope you will be able to join us this Christmas at the Vineyard as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Being a main celebration in everyone’s calendar we want to have festive fun, but also a space to contemplate what it means for God’s son to come into the world and be a light in the darkness.

We have plenty of events happening at Stour Valley Vineyard this Christmas – we’d love to see you with your family and friends at our festive gatherings!

Advent Bring & Share Lunch, 12-2pm, Sunday 3 December

Join us as we celebrate the start of the advent season and Jesus’ coming by gathering together for lunch after our Sunday service.

The lunch will be held at the Delphi Centre. If you are able to bring with you a savoury and sweet dish, there will be a table in the Caffe Vineyard area for you to leave your food when you arrive for the morning service. If you can’t bring anything with you, that’s ok, don’t worry, there will be plenty to go around.

Look forward sharing lunch with you!

Community Drop-in, 2 – 5pm, Saturday 16 December

We have been in our new Vineyard Centre a couple of months now and thought it was about time that we invited our neighbours around for a drink, and Christmas is a great time to do that. The drop-in will be an opportunity for people and organisations from our local community to come and say hi and get to know a little more about what we do at the Vineyard Centre.

There will be drink and festive treats to share and fun activities for the kids.

Bring your Santa hats or wear a festive jumper and come and say hello to someone new.

Family Light Service, 10.30am, Sunday 17 December

As we prepare for the coming of Jesus we have a special all-age Sunday morning service with crafts and carols This cafe style service is a bit of fun for all the family. There will be treats in store! We hope you will be able to come with your family and friends.

GLOW – Community Carol Service, 6.30pm, Christmas Eve

Join us for our town’s family community carol service on Christmas Eve at the Delphi Centre. Arrive from 6pm for mulled wine, soft drinks mince pies and treats. Service starts at 6.30pm.

Enjoy an evening of familiar carols, readings, and drama, along with a short talk on the reason for the season – ‘the light of the world’. Let it glow! Let it glow! Let it glow!

Everyone is welcome, even if you have not been to church in years. A warm welcome awaits you.

Please note: There will be no Sunday services on Sunday 31 December 2017.

We hope you have a great Christmas with lots of festive blessings!

For more details on any of our events, please contact us at the office. Invites of events are available on Sundays.
